Answer: It is a descriptive text.

A descriptive text is a text to describe a particular person or a thing.  

b. What is the generic structure of it?

Answer: The generic structure of a descriptive text:

• Identification, in this part we introduce the object will be described, it can be a place, a person,a thing or an animal.
• Description, in this part we describe the object. There are many ways to describe an object, we can describe the form, the pattern, color, texture, feeling or anything else related to the object.

c. What is the text purpose?

Answer: The text purpose is to describe a bird park in Singapore.

d. What is the tenses stated?

Answer: The tenses used in the text is a simple present tense.  We use simple present tense in descriptive text because we talk about general truth. Here to form the simple present tense:

• If the subject is I, we, they and you so we use verb-1 such as love, write, run, talk, etc. To form a negative sentence use DO
• If the subject is she, he, it, the student, Mina so we use verb-1+ s/es such as loves, writes, runs, talks, etc. To form a negative sentence we use DOES

Example:

1. Andi goes to school by bus every morning.
2. Andi does not go to school by bus every morning.
3. Does Andi go to school by bus every morning?
4. The students learn computer science in the classroom.
5. The students don't learn computer science in the classroom.
6. Do the students learn computer science in the classroom?
